Warmingham Village Speedwatch arose out of the 2006 Warmingham Village Plan and after a successful campaign by the Parish Council to get a speed limit in force through the village.
A number of villagers have now been trained by the police in the use of the speed gun.
Vehicles travelling in excess of the 30 mph limit can be clocked, their details recorded and the police informed.
At the moment there is also available a S.I.D. (portable Speed Indicator) which can be used to flash up the speed of a motorist, with a 'smiley' face if the vehicle is travelling within the legal limit and a 'frowning' face if not.More volunteers are always needed.top
